Troop 155 was founded  in  April, 1957 at Lincoln Jr. High School in Mt. Prospect, Illinois and later moved to its new home at  St. Raymond De Penafort Church.  Now in our 50th year,  we are proud of our long tradition in the Mt. Prospect community.  Through our scouting program, boys experience camaraderie, leadership, service, adventure, teamwork, life skills and... FUN.  The memories made here will last a lifetime!

In Troop 155, we’re going places! Our travels have taken us to historic Galena, Il; scenic Devil’s Lake State Park, Alpine Valley Ski Resort, and many other destinations.  Along the way, our scouts have learned valuable skills and made good friends.

As a Troop, we follow the tenets of scouting, which are to encourage young men to become leaders and good citizens.  To that end, we  participate in many service projects benefiting our community, country and  environment.  Recent projects include the St. Raymond 5k Run/Walk to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina; the March of Dimes WalkAmerica fundraiser; conservation projects at The Grove Historic Landmark in Glenview and River Trails Nature Center in Northbrook; and Deer Grove Forest Preserve in Palatine.

As we move into our next fifty years,  we look forward to building upon the strong scouting tradition established by Robert Baden Powell back in 1907— a tradition built on timeless values.

“All are welcome in this place.”

Troop 155...We’re going places.
